In the late sixties, the demand for industrial sewing equipment had grown and Max travelled to Japan securing the Yamato Sewing Machine agency for Australia. Other prominent agencies including Mitsibushi, Seiko, Treasure and Summit were acquired in the ensuing years.

In the early seventies, Max travelled to Taiwan and was appointed Australian agent for the Siruba range of machinery - a brand that we have now represented for over forty years.

We are proud of the relationships that we have fostered with our suppliers over many years and this bilateral loyalty is one of the core reasons for our success and longevity.

In 1992 we opened our Sydney office in Yagoona after purchasing the Sewing Machine Exchange business finally establishing a foothold in New South Wales.

In 1999 we again expanded our business with the acquisition of the Lightning Cutting Machinery company. This iconic textile brand introduced us to a whole new range of customers and we continue to manufacture these machines from our office in Melbourne.

In April 2014 we merged our business with Capron Carter Australia a company with over 100 years of service to the textile industry. This merger allowed us to finally have an office in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane and as a result we became sole Australian agents for Juki Corporation and Union Special.

From humble beginnings, Elizabeth Machines Co. is today a diverse company with more than twenty staff in four states supplying a large range of machinery and spare parts from the world’s leading textile machinery suppliers including Juki, Union Special, Siruba, Seiko, Miller Weldmaster, Gammill, Yamato and Lightning.

With professionally trained staff, many with over forty years of experience in the industry, it’s easy to understand why we are able to provide the highest level of customer service and why we are so well respected throughout the textile industry.
